Windows XP Home regedit

by MJSCHADE / April 23, 2004 5:29 AM PDT

I have need to edit some of my registry files. No matter how I call up "regedit" is comes up then disappears within 5-10 seconds thus effectively making it unusable. Any suggestions what's wrong or better still how to correct?

MJS, Glad to help. Was it a virus and if so which one and how did you correct the problem? These answers will help others who may run into the same problem. Thanks for posting back.

I have no idea. All I know is I followed your directions and deleted at least 50+ addresses in my registry. The problem was with "Symantec". I wish I could tell you more but I am really cyberilliterate. MJS

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
