My home network consists of 3 computers. 1 uses Windows XP Home Edition (call it M1), 1 Windows 98SE (call it M2), 1 windows 98 (call it M3). I used Windows Network Wizard to setup the network first on the XP machine. Then used the created floppy disk to set up the other 2 machines. All 3 machines belong to the same workgroup. No passwords are used. All 3 machines have their C drive shared. When I go to My Network Places on all 3 machines, I see the 3 machine names on all 3 networked computers. The XP computer (M1) can see and read/write files on the other 2 computers. However, the 2 Windows 98 computers (M2 and M3) can only read/write to the other Windows 98 computer, but not to M1. If I click on the M1 name in M2 or M3, I get a dialog box asking for a password for //M1//IP$. I do not have access to M1 from M2 or M3. Can someone tell me how to fix this problem? Thanks.
