I'm having trouble understanding

all your problems. One is obvious, your keyboard is defective -- The shift key does not work at all, and the period key sometimes provides commas and sometimes nothing. Perhaps you should get a new keyboard -- it might help some in our understanding, and you might get more responses.

While I can't really decipher your post, it seems to relate to the fact that XP is a multiuser system. No, you do not have two OSes, there are multiple users with different privileges. By default, the beginning users are Administrator and Guest. The owner/administrator then sets up other users and assigns their privileges. When one of these users is assigned administrator privileges, the original Administrator disappears (except in Safe Mode).

It is normal for some operations to require administrator privileges, and as you can apparently log on as an administrator, I don't see what your problem really is.

If you don't understand Windows' operations, I suggest you get an introductory book on the subject.

Oh, and BTW, I also suggest that in the future you compose your posts in a word processor and then cut and paste into the forum message. That way you can run the spell checker

Hope this helps

Frank
