windows xp: found files

by 1159inv / May 26, 2007 10:59 PM PDT

using windows xp. when i use a scanning tool like avg or adaware and look at the files on my system it shows files called "found.010". The file ext. ".010"is different for each "found" file. in total there are almost 300 of them, but i can't find them at any other time. i have no idea what they are, what they do, how much space they take up or what causes more to be created. are they a result of using the defrag tool in windows? are they safe to trash and how can it be accomplished? i appreciate any help.

Not a common file, so toss them out.

again thank you so much. the program you suggested found every single item in 2 seconds and took care of them. they were files created by the defrag program. thanks again.
