It's legal for files to have the same name if...
The file extension differs. No fix is planned but you could tell Explorer to show extensions so you can tell which is which.
I recently ran into a problem that I can't seem to find any information about. When I go to save a file that has the same name as a file that is already in the folder, windows doesn't prompt me with the option to overwrite the file. It simply saves the file with the same name in the same folder. This means that I end up with 2 files with the same name in the same folder. It's getting a bit confusing, so I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem before?
