But you may encounter folk that won't get the required USB DVDRW or even an USB stick. Be sure to keep your distance while they learn that such things are not optional in repairs.
Also you may want to backup before changes with a full image of the HDD since they seem to have opted out of the drive and restore medai creation.
There's a lot to talk about here since those common netbooks had a lot of folk thinking they could get along without the USB DVDRW. You, again, need to let them work through it.
-> With that out of the way I pull out my USB DVDRW, boot up NTPASSWD to reset the admin password and in less then 5 minutes we are done,. NTPASSWD is free, plenty of web pages on creation and use do I stop here.

I have a computer that runs XP. It was purchased in Quebec so all the keys have english and arabic lettering accordingly. Sometimes it writes in arabic and shows others writing in the same in chat rooms. This is an off and on thing. Now it won't let me log into my admin account. I am guessing that it is stuck on arabic because when I type a "b" it gives 2 "*" astrics not just one. So now I can't get into my system. How do I get? I would really like to keep what is on the computer, but will deal if I can just whip it and be done. I tried safe mode, but it takes me straight to the log in screen again and still won't work. I have rebooted many times while troubleshooting...no help. The last time I fixed this I had a 2nd account that did not have a password and was able to change to english once in windows. But my son put a password with talking to me and the 2nd one is now password protected and won't accept the english password
.
Thank you in advance for any help.
PS...This is a tiny laptop. Does not have a CD rom nor do I have the XP CD. The package it came in doesnt seem to have one in it
