WINDOWS XP BROWSER HELP

HI I AM NEW TO THE FORUM AND IN NEED OF SOME HELP.THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING IS I CAN OPEN MY BROWSER ON MY ORANGE HOME PAGE BUT WHEN I TRY TO OPEN WEB SITES FROM MY HISTORY OR FAVORITES THE SCREEN GOES WHITE AND FREEZES.I AM A BIT OF A PC NOVICE SO ANY HELP FROM OTHER MEMBERS WOULD BE GREAT THANKYOU

Which browser?
Which OS?
What web sites are you having trouble with?

When you type in upper case its considered shouting and is difficult to read.

hi tom thanks for your reply.it is a bad habit i have of always using upercase letters need to kick it should have gave you more information.i am sending this from a desk top pc the problem is with my sons laptop.it is a fujitsu siemens amilo pi 1505 the browser is internet explorer and has windows xp professional installed.it is not opening any websites from history and favorites [google yahoo ebay] the screens goes white and freezes.internet connection is fine can get the orange home page it was fine until saturday night as i said im a pc novice need help from the experts.thanks again

Could be virus,spyware,etc.Try running your anti virus and AVG ANTI SPYWARE in SAFE MODE,then also scan in norm mode.

I presume its IE7 which has known issues.Maybe its corrupt,but one step at a time.

Also try FIRE FOX instead and add bookmarks(IE calls it favorites and firefox calls it bookmarks) and see if it works as a test.

Maybe try IEFIX
