I'm not sure what that means, but a long startup time can be many things.
You can check how many System Tray icons, (near the clock), load on startup. These are icons for software that is set to load on startup, and too many, or unwanted software will slow startup down. Open each, see if you really want it to load when you boot up, and if not, check its options to disable load on startup, or similar words.
Next you can check your System Configuration Editor, (Start > Run, type in msconfig, and click OK). In the Startup tab look for any unwanted startup items and disable them. Google will help you identify them.
Then you can check how many Services you have running. Again, goto Start > Run, type in services.msc and click OK. Scroll down the list and identify any Services you can safely disable or set to manual. Double click any entry to change its Startup type:
The Elder Geek Services Guide will help you there.
Finally, make sure you don't have any unwanted pests like hackers, viruses and spyware on the system by checking your firewall is working and that your anti-virus and anti-spyware utilities are up to date and you perform full system scans.

I have a Micron PC Computer running Windows XP. I seem to recall at one time seeing an option to change how long the sys. info displays during boot up but I can't remember how to get back to it to change it. The Computer takes really long to boot and anything I can do to speed it up would help. Thanks in Advance - Dennis
