Windows XP and Outlook Email

Friend tells me that she cannot open links sent with email using Microsoft Outlook and XP.

Try unchecking the option "Do not allow unsafe attachments to be opened".

Loaction:

Outlook Express/Tools/Options/Security tab.

I vaguely remember encountering something similar to this and found this in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Also... if you have another browser (not IE) set as your default browser (Netscape, Mozilla, Opera, etc.) the "click-able" link feature in Outlook and OE may sometimes no longer work. Maybe Microsoft likes other Microsoft products. I believe there's a solution to this in one of the previous Knowledge Base articles. (For some strange reason, whenever I re-install the Leap FTP program, it makes itself the default browser for a minute or two.)

Something else to consider is that many over-protective system utilities/pop-up blockers can occasionally prevent a new window from opening.
