windows xp

how can I get around the message [ need window xp cd in E drive] to open file, I have an hp pavilion a420a 2800 AMD athlon with all software ready installed so I dont have the software to go back to biggest mistake to buy. thank before hand to any help

If you have some CDs supplied by HP, you should insert them and look for i386 folder. If you'll find the folder on a CD, that's it. If not, contact HP. Your manufacturer choice, so it?s a problem between you and them.

The last HPs I've dealt with, give the owner multiple changes to make Restore CDs for that fateful day they are required. If the owner passes up the offers, then they get to pay for Restore CDs from HP (cheap) or buy another license to the OS (more money.)

If you can find your I386 file, you can walk the program to it. If you don't know how to do this walk, when the screen pops up, then you should learn by surfing the net. I don't know the proper geek phrasing for this, but it's something you should know how to do.
