I have two harddrives and xp is on the smaller (80GB) and I wish to transfer xp to the larger (200GB) which is also set up as the slave. Please advise the proper way to do this. Also will I have to reregister XP on the larger hd.

thanks

Any number of drive copying programs exist. A Google search will turn up more then you need. I use the software provided by the drive maker.

Reregistering (I think you mean reactivation) will likely not be needed.

If your XP CD is just XP and not XP SP1, too many are showing up with "All my data is gone!" after a minor mishap and running the repair functions in non-SP1 XP.

You'll want a shiny XP SP1 CD before I would suggest this move.
