windows wont close

when i delete things or move things in vista the file does what its supposed to do but im left with the recycling window sitting there not moving at all and it wont close can someone please help?

More Information Is Needed

Which version of Vista? How much RAM is installed? Which antivirus/security programs do you have installed? Do they have "shredder" programs which take much longer to delete files? Tried disabling such programs to test whether they are the culprit?

Have you tried deleting such files which in Safe Mode, and if so, does the same thing happen?

i have home premium and i have avg anti virus and i have 2 gigs of ram i dont know what a shredder program is ... but its anoying that windows explorer isnt working right thanks for trying though ill look up shredder programs
