2. Idea 1 done? What other clues do we have? Has the hard drive been flaky recently?
I have a dell dimension E520. Vista would only boot in safe mode so I did a restore using the dell factory image in the recovery partition and the vista disk that came with the computer . On both attempts I either got a blue screen crash or it just restarted during the second restart during the reinstallation. The blue screen crash says that the video driver failed to reset. Also all the text is weird on the bios. It has replaced some letters with other letters for example s is now w so it says whut down computer and stuff like that. Maybe its a problem with my graphics card/driver. If I try to boot in safe mode it says the installation cannot be completed in safe mode. If anyone had any solutions to my problem I would really appreciate it. Thanks
