Windows won't shut down with out end task

May 28, 2005 9:29PM PDT

I have Windows XP home edition on a HP pavillion 734n. Has 512 mb ram, wiht 2.oGHz processor. My question is, whenever I go to shut down, my computer puts a box up saying unable to end program, end task to close. Is there something I can do to correct the problem, not a biggie but annoying. Thanks, Mary

But, how long has it been happening? Can you remember it occurring after installing a particlar Utility or program?
If you can remember roiughly when it started, you could always try a rollback using System restore from a day or two before it commenced.
If that doesnt work, I`m sure there are plenty of expert techies here who will give you good advice Happy
I know they always manage to come up trumps for me when I have problems Happy

Good luck BTW !
