Did you shake your computer hardly when you travelled?
If yes, it's means some hardwares loose, so OS lose some hardware drives. You need make sure every thing is good.
anyway, you may use OS recovery CD, Don not choose "new install","keep all your documents"
If above not work, pull your hard drive out, use another computer copy your Data.
Ok...Friday computer worked fine. Moved from Kansas to Washington DC over the weekend. Plug in the computer, it won't boot anymore?
I get the startup music an then my background and the mouse works, but that's it. Nothing else comes up, ie. no desktop folders or anything.
When I plug in my pen drive I get the ding sound but again nothing else. Additionally, I can right click the mouse and get the create new folder stuff, but it's not linked to anything.
Also, when I try to boot in safe mode, I get nothing as well, the computer doesn't start up at all.
Any ideas? I'm getting a little nervous because all my photo's are on my hard drive and I'd be crushed if I lost them...
