HOWEVER that disabled administration account is interesting. I use NTPASSWD to enable that plus clear its password. It's a free program (boot CD actually.) It's only mildly hard to use but has helped me correct this too many times.
My windows seems to boot up properly. After it asks for a password all I get is the background and no icons, start button, etc.
It is an Acer 5520.
If at startup I press f8 and choose "Repair Your Computer" adn try to sign in with Administrator it says your account has been disabled. If I sign in with my user account and choose startup repair it says that startup repair could not detect a problem.???
If I choose "command prompt" it comes up with x:\windows\system32>
My eRecovery doesn't appear to work. I push the button but nothing happens.
If I go to system restore and pick a previous restore point I can pick C and D drive but X drive (PQservice) is not available.
hi i had trouble with pqservice after installing ubuntu and uninstalling it but i managed to get it fixed
now when i go to system restore i can restore disc C and D but the pqservice is not showing anymore
i am running vista premium on an acer m5100
on the system restore window it showed as
now the pqservice is not showing
