Windows Vista Update Part 2

Aug 16, 2011 12:10PM PDT

Okay, I'm trying to download the updates. It says it's downloading but it's still at 0%. It's been like that over 10 minutes, what's going on?

Look at the KB number.

Many of this can be fetched and installed manually.

Unless you know why the services were disabled or by what, it's likely malware.

Grif has a post about that at 7726-6132_102-5098912.html?tag=posts;msg5099421

Oh wait...

I was bad and didn't ask about the machine, the internet connection or well much else. I just had some Windows 7 updates and same thing. It sits there are 2 percent, jumps to 100, sits, spins the drive and then reboots to finish.

And this on a very fast connection and a Core i7 machine with all the trimmings.

"Oh wait..."
