Windows Vista Techtracker results page

Sep 23, 2009 6:13AM PDT

I installed Techtracker on windows vista(32). It scans and displays results on desktop, showing out of date programs but when I " Go to my CNET Techtracker page" there are no results shown nor is there any system information and I am logged on. I have added Techtracker as an Exception to my windows firewall and it is not being blocked by McAfee virus protection or Firewall. Computer is an HP Pavilion a6110n. I have uninstalled and reinstalled program and instructed the firewall to give Techtracker full access.

I failed to read the information that Techtracker can only be used on one computer. I was using it on my XP and my Vista computer under the same user name.

TechTracker's computer limit

Thank you very much for following up with us!

It is true that currently you may only use TechTracker on one computer, but I want to make sure you know that we are working to bring the ability to use TechTracker on multiple computers. There's no ETA on this, but it's definitely on our list!

TechTracker apparently does not function with Vista.
Seems like another omission from CNET

TechTracker is Vista-compatible...

I have been successfully running TechTracker on Vista since it was in beta testing without issue, so the problem likely lies elsewhere. Perhaps the TechTracker team can assist with resolving the problem(s) if you describe them in full?

Tech Tracker hates Vista
Jul 17, 2010 8:14AM PDT

Tech Tracker locates the software and alerts me to some that need updating. But will not download. Have unblocked and added exceptions but still no success. Downloads via other sites still work. Have used the list to update as a cue, launch the software and update via its own site. Half a job well done.
Dell 1525, Vista, McAfee, DAP, etc., on ADSL 256.
Thanks for any advice re downloading from Tech Tracker / CNET page.
