Windows Vista Sleep Mode

Feb 20, 2011 1:31AM PST

My laptop goes to sleep and I am unable to wake it up. I unplug the power and remove the battery and them I am able to wake it up. Is there a better way to wake the laptop up from sleep mode?

Maybe it's like mine and you press the power button to wake. Maybe not.

Did you try hibernate?

I tried pushing the power button and nothing - I tried closing the lid and nothing -
I went to the games program and opened performance info and tools and clicked on adjust power setting and changed plug to 30 minutes and still this did not help. Any other suggestions?

Sorry but here it's open the lid to wake.

Try HIBERNATE instead of sleep.

Where do I find Hibernation sleep?

From memory

I clicked on the orb and in the box typed HIBERNATION and Windows helped me enable it.

Also there are many articles to be found on google by asking "How do I enable hibernation on Windows Vista?"
