Windows Vista Service Pack 2

by rs913 / September 18, 2009 2:35 AM PDT

I have resisted Windows Update's attempts to install Vista SP2 on my PC because of "horror stories" I've read about how it's too new, too unproven, slows down people's PCs too much, etc.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether it makes sense to install it or not?

(Relevant stats: HP Pavilion dv6700 laptop, 3 GB RAM, running Vista 32-bit Home Premium)

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
