Windows Vista OEM

Mar 11, 2007 1:58PM PDT

ACER is supposed to send me Windows Vista Home Premium. This is an OEM. What I'd like to know is if I will be able to do a clean install (the workaround) just like the upgrade version.

Thanks a Million!

Please clarify....

What is the reference to "the workaround" ?
Have you talk to ACER about what you want to do ? If you removed the OEM and put in something else, you lose support from ACER and void the warranty.

That's only for the upgrade version

OEM Windows versions are the full versions and not the upgrade versions. The steps for the clean install trick that is used with the early upgrade version discs is not necessary.

OEM versions may only be installed on at most one computer. RETAIL versions may be installed on a different computer after the installation on the first computer is removed.

ACER should explain the details on exactly what they are sending to you.
