My windows vista laptop-gateway has been experiencing odd problems. At first it was minor and I was only able to access my guest account while if i tried to go on my admin account, I got BSOD. After restarting my laptop many times I was offered different suggestions, like a system scan for my D: drive, a system scan for my C: drive, and some program that gave me the option to reformat, go back to a certain point in time and run command prompt. after doing all these suggestions, i just gave up because I was slapped in the face with the same BSOD. By the way, I saw something on the BSOD that said "volume boot space full" something like that. Anyway, today I tried again and when I got to recovery menu when I tried to run system scan, I was just sent back to recovery menu as if nothing happened. I tried going to bios menu and setup but i was returned to same recovery menu. When I pressed enter to run windows normally it began to load but very shortly I was hit by the same BSOD before i got to the account choice.
I haven't downloaded anything onto my laptop in a long time, this just happened over a night and a half. This is the first time ever experiencing this problem. By the way, during the system scan, instead of the usual protocol with the files being scanned, it began to spam the same weird characters over and over again, the ones with like two dots over the A and stuff like that, but then it would say succesful. If any more info is needed I am eager to assist. Please help!
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
