Event Viewer.

If there is no Run command in your Start Menu, (right hand side column), type Run in the search box. Run should list at the top of the menu, so click that.

In the Run box, type in eventvwr.msc (Just to clarify, that is EVENTVWR.MSC), and hit OK.

This will open Vista's Event Viewer console and you should be able to search that for a list of errors. Highlight any for more details.

Just a note. When that blue screen displayed it would have given much information, like the general type, eg Bad_Pool_Header, and a STOP Error code, eg 0x0000019, and so on. Note those down then research them in Google.

Do you have newly installed hardware?
Sep 21, 2010 8:20PM PDT

I also encountered blue screen problem. I noticed that I always getting that problem when I started installing bluetooth and wifi hardware. To get rid of that errors, try to update the newly installed hardware or uninstall. But if you think that you did not installed any hardware, maybe its time to check your installed software.. You may use Uninstaller programs to check if the problem is in installed programs. If the uninstaller cant see or cant fix the problem, its time to use a Registry Cleaner to clean the unnecessary registry. If the problems occurs again, its safe to say that you now contact a Certified Computer Technician to fully analyze what is the real problem.
