Windows Vista compability

by crazyfred02 / January 30, 2007 4:48 AM PST

I was wondering how my laptop will run vista? I have an Acer Aspire 5050. I will run Windows Vista Home Premium.

Turion 64 X2 TL-50
Radeon Xpress 1100
120 GB HDD

I would also like to know if ATI will ever release new drivers for the Xpress 1100 for Windows Xp?

Thanks a Million

It can run Vista

You have a nice config to run vista, except the graphics solution, which is an integrated one but it is compatible ( according to ATi ) with AERO Glass of Vista.

CPU and RAM are O.K.

I can run Vista Ultimate with my Dell Inspiron E1505 with a Core Duo 1.66 GHz, ATi Mobility Radeon X1400 128 MB, 512 MB DDR2 ( soon 1.5 GB Wink ).

But at your place, I would wait for the Service pack 1 of Vista ... Bugs and imcompatibilities will be corrected in the service pack 1. With the time, drivers will be more advanced and sofisticated for Vista...

Link for drivers ( Vista 32 bits ) :

Scuse me ! I gave you the link for Vista drivers in my last post ... !

I think you must download the available drivers directly from your manufacturer for your graphics drivers.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
