Windows Vista and port 6112

by shoshui / January 1, 2010 1:20 AM PST

Hey, I'm currently running Windows Vista home edition (32) on my laptop. I also have a desktop PC with windows 7 on it. Now on my desktop the port 6112 is apparently open as I can play Guild Wars with no problem. But on my laptop is not... I'm using the same router for both my laptop and my desktop, just that the laptop I use it with wireless. I tried turning the firewall off, I uninstalled Kaspersky antivirus and installed it back, I added the port 6112 to the firewall exceptions ... nothing works. Any suggestions? The provider said the port is open from the router, since it's ok on my desktop ... I'm not an expert, I'm barely an amateur so please have patience with me hehe
