Start>control panel> windows update>change settings>check for updates but let me chose whether to download and install them.
Reboot.
The next time winupd runs you might find you have 200 updates to install.
Pick the first one only and see if it will download and install.
If it does go back to the list and grab the next 5.
If that works grab the next 10.
hi guys,
i am using windows7 on my laptop, just put new ram in and a ssd harddrive,reinstalled windows7,installed advast antivirus, downloaded firefox,everything working find, BUT,windows updater as been running forlast 48 hours and i have not recieved any updates, with help from youtube got some error report saying( event id 29 windows update lost connectivity) i am using a ethernet connection to my laptop,
in computer management,services,background intelligent transfer service is set at (automatic delay start)
also in services (windows update) is set at (automatic delay start)
please can you guys help,
ps, would it be that micosoft is just shutdown for xmas???
