If you have not got a <nett passport> sign in and get one, then you can get help from posting a thread on Microsoft Newgroup forum.
After you get your passport go to the following page and log in, then post your problem with the heading "Failed to get Microsoft Updates"
The news group has been a wonderful help to me, but you need to get professional help with this. I had the same problem and they were quick and most helpful.
Good luck -
I use Windows Update pretty regularly (once every two weeks or so). There is an update for Microsoft Virtual Machine(VM) that will never seem to install properly. I click "update" like it says and it says completed and to restart your computer. I restart and Windows says to update again! It's the same update! The process is repeated continuously! I know I can hide the update but I want to know if it is important or not... When I do hide it and the next updates come out, there is always an annoying message saying," You are hiding critcal updates. Please allow these updates." So I'm basically asking how can I stop this update or how can I install it to actually work?
