Windows Update Permanent Notice Message when Quit Windows

Hi all and happy New Year.

I run Win XP Home +sp2(in buitl soft in my HP pavilion)
Nod 32 AV

I'm getting an update install message everytime I exit my working session. (see screenshot here http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/tony64/ScreenHunter_01Jan.jpg )

I've completed all possible updaes excepted explorer 7. I thus do not understand why this message is always present. This happens only when I exit windows.

In fact when I start a new session, before I use any software this message disapears. Never ever got this problem before

You should have the Yellow Shield in System Tray

In reply to: Windows Update Permanent Notice Message when Quit Windows

When you are logged on to windows, you should have the yellow shield in your system tray. Double Click it, check the Custom Install option and then click next. Uncheck the update it wants to install and click ok. Then it will offer you the option to not be shown the update again. Click ok and that will fix the problem.
The same thing just happened to my work computer running Windows XP SP2. I did this and that fixed my shut down.

Good luck.
