Are you you or are you this guy ? > https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/windows-update-kb4013429/
My computer is a 32 bit system running Windows 10 Pro.
I upgraded from Windows 7 in June 2016 and all updates since then have installed properly without any issues.
Since last week this update KB 4013429 is failing to install. Does anyone have any suggestions?
After it downlaods the update and tried to install it always gives up at the end saying it can't install and is undoing the changes.
I downloaded and ran Windows Update Troubleshooter three times. It says it found and fixed the same four errors each time:
1- Some security settings are missing or have been changed.
2- Service registration is missing or corrupt
3- Potential Windows Update database error detected
4- Windows Update Components must be repaired
After that I tried the Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- the operation completed successfully
After that I tried:
sfc /scannow
The result was "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
I have also gone to the Windows catalog and downloaded the update but can only do the cummulative update
because my computer is only a 32 bit system. However after all this nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions would be appreicated.
