Windows Update Error 800B0100

Sep 6, 2010 6:08AM PDT

Im currently trying to download and install the new Service Pack update for Windows Vista and I keep getting an error code: 800B0100 saying the file failed to install. Any ideas about how to fix this issue and how I can download and install this update?

My audio disappeared a month ago.

Problem: No audio, prompt says "No audio installed." Also, System check - same thing "No audio installed." Soundcard status ok. How can this be? Bought January 26, 1998, had sound until a month ago. Could not update & no history update recorded, weird. It is programed to update daily at 3 am. Wild ideas: Will update Service Pack 2 or install Win 7 help? Audio is by Teac Tech.

I have a Dell machine, Windows Vista Home Premium, 32-bit, Service Pack 2, Intel Core 2 CPU, 6,600@2.40 Ghz, 2.39 GHz, 2GB RAM, TimeWarner Roadrunner Cable modem service standard, and I am protected by Microsoft Security Essentials and AVG ANTI-VIRUS&ANTI-SPYWARE. Dell Photo AIO Printer 926.

Win System diagnostic - compatible with Win 7, not sure with printer.
