Windows update

Hello all,

one of my students has a notebook - a HP mini with XP installed. His software package doesn't seem to allow for the windows update feature. It is there on the start menu, but won't allow itself to be accessed - it just comes up with some annoying error message.
Is there any way I can download this feature and install it on his machine (in Danish). It's driving us both nuts.

thanks,

Tim and Anton

Re: Windows update

Some things to do:
1. Tell the exact error message you get. For you maybe it's annoying, for others it can be informative.
2. Go into Internet Explorer, then Tools>Windows Update. Tell exactly what happens.

And please all messages and such from Danish into English.

As Kees said, the exact error ...

you are presented with ia a pretty important piece of information.

For Windows Update problems however one of the solutions listed on this link will almost always fix things. In your case I would suggest starting with Solution 2
