1. The refresh rate (which is not the resolution."
2. The Monitor.inf file used. While it's not a driver, it tells Windows and the video driver how to deal with the display. This may be called a monitor driver, or it may be called an info file. Some folk get stuck on this but let's plow through.
3. Some displays have settings. My Sony has this FULL PIXEL setting, A Samsung calls it "Just Fit" and you get the idea I will never guess what your display calls it.
So I can't fix this for most people. But these 3 areas need to be under control and understood by your support person.
I have a screen that runs off Windows 7 and is attached to a stand for display purposes in advertising.
The resolution has gone off, see the picture, so that the right hand side of the screen has cut off, but down the bottom the screen is repeating. It's almost like it's been squashed and tried to go widescreen.
I have already tried changing the resolution, it keeps the same problem and just changes the size. I have tried doing back-up and restores and changing settings on the monitor card.
Can't find any problems and it's been like this for a few days now.
Any help is most appreciated. Any questions please ask.
Note i have checked on other power sources and it is the screen affected.
