Windows remembers password

Feb 19, 2004 10:52AM PST

I am using Windows XP Home edition. Whilst using the internet I accidently pressed the Yes button that told Windows to remember a password. Can anyone tell me how to remove this password so that it is no longer stored? Thanks.

If you mean the auto complete feature on 'Forms', the next time you go there, just click your name (highlight) and then press the 'Delete' key. Your name and password will be removed.

Ah! That was the right place to go, but somewhat 'hidden'. I tried to find that via IE6 Help, typing 'passwords' as the keyword at the index box, but the place you mentioned was not offered, getting what Papa Echo posted. Maybe I have used the wring keyword ?

christy.

Change the password and hit no when it asks if you want it to remember it.
