Maybe you need to call them and ask for a fix or patch?
As to how windows prints that's in most of the books you see out there. But I fear that it will not help in solving this.
I am managing a network that has several printers connected via my LAN. My print server has special accounting software to keep track of all print jobs, but there is a security hole that bypasses the accounting software. I can restrict access to the IP, but I?m not sure if this will be effective. Does anybody know how Windows 2000/XP manages print jobs? Are print jobs peer-to-peer between the client and the printer, or are they stored and printed directly from the print server?
