It wasn't long ago that our office has Windows Mobile apps we had finished. It was rather a shock as MSFT ejected all WinMo of the day to wipe out all prior works and move to Windows Phone 7.
I guess if you felt that was a good move you would repeat that with Windows Phone 7. What do I mean? Read

My wish is more a hope that MSFT stop treating each release as disposable work as we no longer develop for the Microsoft phones. Among the reasons are the 30% cut they want on apps.

Our office sells this app to a company for a fixed price. The company buys the right to use the app company wide and since you can't install apps except from the store, we can't go near this phone.

At the time, I had high-minded ideals of what a mobile operating system should be like, but the decision came down to just a few key philosophies. At the time, they were design, integration, simplicity and devices. For the most part, I've never second guessed the decision to go with Windows Phone. but now i think i will be widening my mind and taking decision.
