Read http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6127_102-0.html?messageID=3240409&tag=forums06;posts#3240409 for a start plus be aware that I've found ping blocked even when the firewall is turned off.
Why not dive into the firewall settings and see how it is set?
I know that you wrote windows to windows pings so that pretty much rules out the firewall and the Windows os being the issue.
I'd check out my IP plan next.
I have 6 Windows systems (3 Windows XP Pro+2 Windows 7 Pro) and 1 Linux (CentOS) system all are connected to a single switch. Problem is I can't ping from Windows to Windows system but I can ping to Windows to Linux system.
I can ping from one of the Windows machine to other Windows machine which is connected to different switch.
Please note: The Windows firewall/ antivirus all are disabled.
This seems to be strange. Can you help me to solve this strange problem.
Thanks in advance!
