Windows Mobile 5.0 with IR and Bluetooth Keyboards

by jrachuna / January 16, 2006 11:37 PM PST

I recently upgraded my Axim X50v to windows mobile 5.0- and downgraded my keyboard to nonexistent (my dependable old ir keyboard will not be updating drivers for compatibility with 5.0).
The only keyboard I know of that is compatible with 5.0 and my axim is the stowaway- but I actually prefer IR to bluetooth (instant gratification) and I NEED a dedicated number row.
Am I looking for a nonexistent product, or can somebody point me in the right direction?

Feeling lonely out there??

It looks like you never got a response to this. The story you tell is what forced me into the BT keyboard, which is actually freeing. With a BT keyboard you can put your device on the table in front of you, and touchtype (even noisily) on your lap under the table. This makes for much better note taking, without the distraction of someone gawking at your cool device!

The issue is that my WM6 PDA does not work even with the most recent drivers from Stowaway and they don't seem to be nor plan to be getting around to updating for the BT stack issues that exist now.

I'm in the market for a replacement, since I really began to rely on this thing!!
