I have 5 different computers which all run windows vista. they all have VLC on them and it works perfectly on all. Im not a fan of apple/itunes but it does wrk ok on one of the computers as someone has a ipod here.
im sure (99.9%) that ipods can only be managed by itunes. i think there is another program out there but not wmp.
hope this is of some help
Hey everyone,
I just bought a nice brand new laptop with Vista Home Premium installed on it and I'm not sure what programs I should run. I'm used to running iTunes and VLC for media players but I'm pretty sure iTunes won't work well as the reviews say it doesn't, and I don't know if VLC is necessary. Can Windows Media Player do everything? Can it manage an iPod and is it good for playlists like iTunes is, and does it have the majority of the codecs that I will need or will I still need VLC for that. Also, what kind of success have people had running VLC or iTunes in Vista? Also, if not VLC or iTunes or WMP11, is there a fourth option that I should be looking into?
Thanks in advance,
Matt
