Windows media player critical update.

Feb 13, 2004 7:57AM PST

I am too lazy to plough throw the large thread on this topic. One question: I have the 9 series on win98se.
Why is there no critical update for my system ? I would have thought the media version would be the controlling factor and not the version of Windows.

Cheers

Basil, I cannot answer your question but what comes through to me from the other thread is it's probably best to listen to Windows Update. There are too many variables and opinions here... so for me, if Update does not list it, I will not install it.

There is NO critical WMP update for win98, winme - I rely on Windows Update and there is nothing. The last one was in October 2003.

Basil,
I am running Windows Me and Windows update does not list this critical update for my system. Last one I did was in October and I will leave alone as such until somebody sorts out all the confusion. Hope this helps.
