Use cracked versions (of wmp 11) on your own risk and don't expect any help here. How can anybody except the person who cracked it know what's the cause?
Ripping youtube video's, by the way, isn't allowed by the youtube TOS. So we don't help with that. In fact, I'm locking this thread.

hey there. I prefer wmp 11 to the newer versions on windows 7 so I found a version that had been cracked to run on windows 7 and its been working fine for over a year. I also use realplayer sp to stream rip music off of youtube and convert them to mp3.
Here is my issue. real player rips off of firefox and the version of IE that I have but it no longer works on chrome. I have an idea that this may be because of an update to chrome to stop people ripping videos but im not sure. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling realplayer to see if that would work as it has before.
I have wmp 11 monitor the folder that realplayer saves the converted files to so that I can have them added straight to my library. Since I reinstalled realplayer, wmp 11 doesn't seem to monitor folders anymore. I have tried removing and adding the folders to monitor again and no matter what I do media player will not add new files to my library. I even tried to uninstall wmp so that I could reinstal it. The uninstall crashed part way through and now every time I try to uninstall it it tells me that I have to wait until the previous version is uninstalled.
Now wmp 11 will not add songs to my library nor will it let me uninstall it. Anybody have any ideas? I should tell you that I can follow instructions but I saw an answer on another site that talked about removing the components of wmp from the registry which sounds complicated and dangerous so if there are any simple answers then I'm all ears. thank you very much guys
