"What iam talking about is when WMP 9 is minimize it is suppose to go in my taskbar"

I see this work everywhere. Are you saying it won't?

"When i right click on my taskbar then highlight toolbars and then windows media player. But it does not work."

This is where I haven't seen "something." If I do this I don't have a WMP9 toolbar. But I do tend not to opt for any toolbar I can do without.

-> Can you supply a website that details what you are trying to do? Or the feature that has gone missing?

-> Can you use System Restore to when this worked?

If you are using WMP, and click to minimize it, it should go to your Taskbar.
If you want it to appear in your Quick Launch toolbar, then you should create a shortcut to it there.
Got me a bit confused here too Happy

No thats no what iam talking about. If you are using xp pro open wmp 9 then you right click on your taskbar then highlight toolbars and then click on Windows Media Player. Then when you minimize wmp 9 it shows up like a toolbar were you can still work the controls. My friends computer does it but mine will not do it.

1. The WinXP Windows Media Player -- formerly known as Windows Media Player 8, (click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Windows Media Player) is a VCR, CD player, and radio combined into one device. Copies of CDs can be made as well as create your own and played, to include playing DVDs (if you have DVD hardware), Internet radio stations can be listened to, clips played from a movie, or viewing a music video on a Web site. There is a WMP9 Series Beta version however that anybody can download and install just as they can all kinds of other enhancements.

2. To determine the version of Windows Media Player, click About on the Help menu in Windows Media Player, and then note the version number below the Copyright notice, [Q190990].

Same problem on Windows 2000 SP4 with WMP9
Apr 25, 2011 12:09AM PDT

Its not only XP users that have this problem, I have Windows 2000 SP4 with the same player and the same problem, when you right click on the taskbar it doesn't show Windows media player in the toolbar section. How do I activate it? And its the wmp9 miniplayer toolbar we are talking about!
