Windows Media 10 Won't Rollback!

Hello... I want to remove the horrible Windows Media Player 10 and rollback to Windows MP 9. I have tried the Add/Remove programs, show updates, blicked change/remove next to Windows Media Player 10, it says "rollback in progress, Please wait..." then "Windows Media Player 10 rollback failed" Anyone know the solution?

Thanks alot!
Neil...

Re: WinMP10 Rollback

1) Try shutting down Windows, disconnecting from the internet(if you're using a DSL or LAN modem.) Boot up in Safe Mode, disable your Anti Virus and Spybot removal programs, disable Windows firewall(SP2 only). Make sure you have no programs running resident except Windows operating system core services. Now try 'Add/Remove Programs' again.

2) Depending on when you installed MP10, a restore point might be available. Go to 'System Restore' and see if you can find it. If so, you can go back to MP9 without hassle; but, if you exercise this option, you must back up your most recent docs, pics, etc..

I would.

1. Use system restore.

2. Look up WMP MINI FAQ on google.com to see if they have an uninstall method.
