Read a few from http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22windows+mail%22+notifier&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq= and see if you remember removing such.
For the last few days we've been running a new computer with Vista Home Premium SP 1. It's our first experience with Vista. My wife is a big email person and she's been after me about two things that I haven't been able to fix.
(1) She would like her contact list shown all the time in the left column right below the local folders (Inbox, Sent, Deleted, etc) like it was in Outlook Express. And she says they were there when we first started using Windows Mail. But, they're not there now and I can't find any option to get them there.
(2) She says when we first started using Windows Mail she got an "envelope" icon in the notification area of the system tray whenever she had a new or unread message in the inbox. But she doesn't get it anymore. I can't find any place that lets me choose that option.
I've searched the help menu to no avail. Any help out there? Cliff
