Windows Mail IMAP Setup Question

May 27, 2010 4:54AM PDT

I have an issue that is more frustrating than anything else, but here it is. I inherited a laptop that is running Vista Home Premium, and wanted to install Windows Mail as an email client. The email Account is a Gmail account, with IMAP enabled prtocols. I have everything set up, and can receive email. All folders show up, but everytime I open the program, it sits in a constant state of "Receiving Mail". Somehow, the thing gets hung up querying my "trash" folder (which is empty), and never finishes the download. When I shut down the program, I see the status bar for the incoming messages, just cranking away waiting to download the Trash folder. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Bob
