on a Microsoft forum. It is to do with compacting the database, helps Windows Mail to work faster. It is recommended that you allow it to do it's thing. Just thought I'd let anyone else know if they came across this. Liz
Today after I forwarded a letter, as always I deleted the original, the sent copy and I empty out my trash; I closed the windows mail program as always. After I did this a little box pops up with this message in it."Windows Mail can compact the message store. This may take a few minutes." then it gives me the options of "yes" or "cancel". This happen everytime I close windows mail. I always cancel it. What exactly does this mean? Compact the message store??? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Liz
