Windows Live vs Yahoo!-Who is better OVERALL?

by Faysal21 / June 5, 2008 5:31 AM PDT

Which do you think is best in total? I'm not talking about just the messenger apps,or their search engines, but about all their services head-to-head against each other and who comes out the winner.

Now i know this was posted at a time where Microsoft is just coming off of dropping their offers to acquire Yahoo!,but this can still be spoken of either way.

Both sites offer the same type of services. I had trouble with both at different times.
If you ask me to compare server bases, I would say that yahoo is better.
If it was user compatibility, I would say msn.
Neither has that great of a mail agent or a search agent. Yahoo does have the integrated messenger for the web.

windows live vs yahoo

Windows live comes w/too much stuff. I do not like windows live it doesn't look good and as seems to be the case w/microsoft apps: memory users and resource hogs.

Yahoo has some new snazzy stationary, clean interface and cute little 'Liam'. I think they have gotten in trouble w/privacy issues-now they seem more user-friendly w/this new version of 07/09.

I am a proud windows user so its just natural that i "have" to have one to get some Microsoft services. its not that bad, but i've never tried yahoo either.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
