Windows Live Messenger - how to reduce memory usage?

by JT321 / June 29, 2008 4:44 AM PDT

Greetings. I'm running windows LM in the background when online, mainly to do video calls/voice calls.

Other than unselecting superfluous options in the program preferences, anyone have ideas for how to reduce RAM and CPU usage by LM, especially when running idel in the background?

Thanks!

Thanks. I'm not hung up on LM - I am open to other apps if they have the functionality and run lighter - suggestions welcome.
