Windows Live Messenger freezez after signing in, no prompt

by mylo7 / June 16, 2009 2:34 PM PDT

For a month now, every time I sign into Windows Live Messenger, it just freezes up on me, plain and simple. The weird thing? No matter how many times I click on the window or the icon and use task manager, I'm not prompted at all that the program is not responding, at all! Does anyone know what the problem could be? If it helps, I'm on Vista Ultimate.

obvious, i know but maybe..

If you haven't done so already, I would simply unistall messenger completely. Then fo to the windows live page and simply download and resintall it. That usually works well.

I've reinstalled the program. It doesn't freeze as often, but it's still annoying.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
