Windows Live Mail types or categories

New Vista user and trying to be a Live user. Before I can continue, I need to clear up some confusion. Three terms I believe have appeared;Windows Live Mail; Windows Live Mail Essential; and Windows Live Hotmail.

Are they three different mail "programs"?
If so-which are web-based or are all of them?

I am using one of them but not sure what? When I can get a better idea of the basics, I do have some other questions

will appreciate any clarification

Tom

Windows Live Mail
-> The desktop application; works with any email account under Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.

Windows Live Essentials
-> Full suite of Windows Live applications, including Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger, et cetera.

Windows Live Hotmail
-> The online interface for Windows Live Mail/Hotmail available through most web browsers.

Hope this helps,
John

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
