Windows live mail synchronising

Feb 25, 2010 3:47PM PST

I need a way to synchronise Windows live mail with a PC that is not connected to the net
I can drag and drop the e-mails on to USB but when I tried to drag more than five e-mails onto the PC with no net they are opened up as attachments
if I try to use the file import the drop-down menu it will not import e-mails from USB

any help on this matter would be appreciated

A workaround...

My preferred solution in such cases is to download Thunderbird - Portable edition, which needs 'unpacked' instead of installed. Unpack files to a flash drive, external hard drive, etc, then launch Thunderbird Portable using the computer that has an internet connection. You can download all of your emails and then either just stick with Thunderbird Portable or export the emails from Thunderbird and import them into your preferred email client using one of the formats they both support (usually CSV).

Hope this helps,
John
